KAI-FI “The Calling” - Finalist in the QUBE Effect 2021

KAI-FI music is electronic production inspired by instrumental Hip Hop, Electro and Funk.

Eight years ago, Michael Franti passed his favourite guitar to Kaia (KAI-FI) and told him to “go practice”. Since then, he has grown his musical interests (old soul, funk, hip hop, electro, lo-fi, and film scoring) and weaved them into his own evolving sound. He was the youngest ever finalist (16) and only producer of Brisbane City Council’s QUBE Effect 2021.

KI-FI was mentored by the late Stu Fergie, of the esteemed indigenous dub group, Oka.
